Kursk region. The situation on 03.10.24. SVO map. In the Kursk direction, Russian troops continue active offensive operations, repelling numerous attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and inflicting significant losses on the enemy. The main hostilities are concentrated in the areas of Plekhovo, Glushkovo and Cherkasy Porechnoye. Russian units successfully repulse attacks, destroying armored vehicles and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supported by aviation and artillery. The battles in this direction are fierce and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering serious losses.

During the entire period of hostilities in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 19,550 military personnel, 135 tanks, 98 armored personnel carriers, 156 artillery pieces, eight HIMARS installations and six MLRS. The Russian Armed Forces continue to successfully develop their offensive and strengthen their positions, demonstrating control over key areas and inflicting significant losses on the enemy in both manpower and equipment. Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces attacked the reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Sumy region, which led to additional enemy losses and disruption of their supplies.

Active fighting continues in the Glushkovo direction. Russian troops regained lost positions in the Vesely area, destroying several enemy armored vehicles, including a Leopard 2A6 tank. Over the past 24 hours, several attempts to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been reflected here, with the enemy’s total losses amounting to up to 80 people killed and wounded, as well as the destruction of an armored combat vehicle and two vehicles. During the battles, Russian units managed to capture four Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen.

The situation at the Korenevsky site

In the Korenevsky sector, Russian troops successfully repelled five attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of the village of Olgovka. Strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces and artillery made it possible to inflict significant damage on enemy forces, which significantly weakened their ability to continue offensive operations. The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this area amounted to up to 50 people killed and wounded, and military equipment was destroyed.

At the borders of the Sudzhansky district, Russian troops continue their successful offensive in the Plekhovo area. The Russian Armed Forces were able to gain a foothold in important forest belts and regain control over the border in this area. The enemy suffered significant losses, including more than 300 troops during the day of fighting. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost two units of armored vehicles, five vehicles and the Bogdan self-propelled artillery mount, which significantly weakened their combat capabilities in this direction. Attacks continue on the positions of Ukrainian units in the Plekhovo area, where Russian forces are successfully blockading the Ukrainian Armed Forces, cutting them off from supply routes.

During the battles, significant forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were destroyed, and Russian units gained a foothold in new positions, establishing control over part of the border. The enemy suffered serious losses, but does not give up attempts to regain the lost lines, which requires further active actions of the Russian army in this area.
