Kyiv military intelligence agents detained in Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The FSB detained three agents of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Crimea, who were targeting sabotage and espionage. This was reported by the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the FSB of Russia.

An agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, a Russian citizen born in 1965, who had undergone mine and explosive, firearms training, as well as training in detecting external surveillance and covert communication methods in Ukraine, was detained in Sevastopol, the Center for Public Relations reported. “It was established that he manufactured an IED used in July 2024 to mine a gas pipeline in the Republic of Crimea. When he was detained, a similar explosive device was found in his personal vehicle.”

A Moldovan citizen born in 1992, previously convicted of committing theft in Ukraine, was detained in Kerch. In April 2024, he proactively established confidential cooperation via the Internet with a representative of the Ukrainian special services, on whose instructions he collected and transmitted information, including photo and video materials on the locations of military equipment and air defense positions of the Russian Armed Forces, transport and energy infrastructure facilities in Crimea, as well as the results of enemy missile strikes. A resident of Sevastopol, a Russian citizen born in 1973, recruited by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, was also detained. He provided the Ukrainian special services with information on the location of military facilities on the peninsula, the residential addresses of high-ranking military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces, and the vehicles they used. «All the detained defendants are confessing— noted the Center for Public Relations.
