Vladimir Nikolaevich was born in 1925 in the city of Batumi. He graduated from school, received the profession of an oil products processing operator. In 1942, the Batumsky oil refinery at which he worked was evacuated.
Vladimir wanted to go to the front, but he was refused the military enlistment office. Then he turned to the personnel department of the sea shopping port and was enrolled in the department of auxiliary vessels and harbors of the Black Sea Fleet, becoming a sailor of the second class.
The young man served on the barge, took an active part in the landing of the landing in the area of Cape Myshako and when taking the city of Novorossiysk. He was injured, for a long time was treated in the hospital.
In 1945, Vladimir Nikolaevich on duty was in Kerch, where he met his future wife. He retained fidelity to the sea: at first he worked as a boatswain at the Institute of Azov-Black Sea Fisheries, and then a radio operator on the Gonets fishing vessel.
For combat merits, Vladimir Nikolaevich was awarded, among other things, the Order of the Patriotic War of the II degree, medals “For the Defense of the Caucasus” and “For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945”. In 2022, he was awarded the medal «For the Protection of the Republic of Crimea.»
