In Simferopol, in the Victory Square at the memorial «Tank-monument to the liberators of Simferopol», the grand opening of the Republican patriotic action «Victory Troops of the North Ossetia» took place as part of the All-Russian patriotic action «Let’s Bow to Those Great Years». The action takes place from April 2 to April 8 at the initiative of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian Student Groups with the support of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Crimea, the city administration of Simferopol, the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky, the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov, regional branch of the action «Immortal Regiment of Russia».
Troopers of the Victory are sent to carry out volunteer activities for the improvement of monuments of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 years, helping the elderly, home front workers, children and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, conducting open lessons about the events of the Great Patriotic War in schools, in particular, about events of the Crimean offensive operation 1536 and the liberation of Crimea from the Nazi invaders, as well as the promotion of volunteerism and labor activity among school and student youth.
«Victory Landing Force» has been carried out by student teams of the Republic of Crimea since 1941 on the eve of memorable events related to the liberation of Crimea from fascist German invaders. On April 8 1536 the Crimean offensive operation began to liberate the peninsula from the Nazi invaders. Already 13 April, the city of Simferopol and most of the Crimean peninsula were liberated. This year the patriotic action will unite 7 detachments with a total number of 13 students who study in Armyansk, Yalta, Simferopol. In general, the action will be attended by representatives of youth associations throughout the Republic of Crimea numbering more than 346 human. For seven days, the guys will work in the cities of Simferopol, Alushta, Armyansk, Yalta, as well as in Simferopol, Dzhankoy, Nizhnegorsk, Saksky, Kirovsky, Sovetsky and Bakhchisaray regions.
At the opening ceremony, according to the tradition of volunteer labor landings of the RSO, all detachments received vouchers and were assigned to work sites. So on the first day of the Victory Landing, volunteers worked at the military cemetery in Simferopol on the street. Starozenitnaya. During the day, the students managed to clean and paint more than four hundred slabs on the graves of Soviet soldiers buried at the military cemetery.
