Large amount of drugs seized from a man in Belogorsk district

Employees of the drug control department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Belogorsk district seized drugs on a large scale from a local resident.
As a result of an inspection of the household of a 42-year-old resident of the Belogorsk district, 14 plants were found and seized with a total weight of 236 g (in terms of the dried substance), as well as a substance weighing 176 g (in terms of the dried substance) that is parts of hemp plants. According to the expert’s conclusion, the confiscated is parts of hemp plants (a plant of the genus Cannabis), containing a narcotic drug, which is a large size, which a 42-year-old resident of the Belogorsk district illegally kept in his household— reported the details of the case in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
The investigative department of the MIA of Russia for the Belogorsk district initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation without the purpose of selling narcotic drugs on a large scale).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment from three to ten years in prison.
