Large landing ships (BDK) «Kaliningrad» and «Olenegorsky Gornyak» of the Russian Navy have started transporting vehicles through the Kerch Strait. This was reported on Tuesday in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Today, the first flight from the port of «Kavkaz» to the port of «Crimea» was made by the crew of the large landing craft «Olenegorsky Gornyak»the message says.
At the request of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, at the peak of the holiday season, large landing ships of the Russian Navy are involved in unloading the Crimean bridge from the Krasnodar Territory in case of a large traffic congestion in the direction of the Crimean peninsula. Each of the landing ships is capable of taking on board up to 40 vehicles.
