Leaders of student labor groups are being trained in Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Students of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions who want to work in the summer as counselors, builders, guides, workers in the field of hospitality and service services, agriculture and other areas of labor activity are united into student labor groups. This solves the serious shortage of seasonal workers. For the effective work of student teams, command training schools are held in Crimea. According to plans for 2024, at least 40 student labor groups will be formed in universities and colleges of the Republic of Crimea. At the moment, 60 student team leaders have already been trained, and more than a hundred of them will be trained within a year.

From February 9 to 11, the first Regional School for training command staff of student teams of the Republic of Crimea this year was held at the Ak Bars children’s health complex, located in the village of Foros. Its participants included more than 60 commanders, commissars and masters of student detachments of leading universities and colleges of the peninsula.

Students were taught the basics of organizing and managing squads: how to create a squad, how to build interaction between the squad, the headquarters of student squads in the region, the leadership of the educational organization, how to organize and conduct social and leisure events. We also discussed legal and personnel issues of student employment, organizing and maintaining document flow, the psychological foundations of working with a team, and positioning student groups in society and on social networks.

For the first time this year, student groups took the initiative to form a labor mentoring mechanism between students and schoolchildren. Now at the state level, great attention is paid to attracting school youth to work. Understanding this, Crimean students, in coordination with school authorities, help schoolchildren aged 14 years and older to create teenage labor groups. Next, student brigades take patronage over teenagers, starting from their participation in volunteer work and ending with employment during the holiday period. A separate educational module was specially prepared and conducted for this area of activity of student teams.

After completing the training, the participants of the Regional School of Command Staff of Student Teams of the Republic of Crimea passed the final test. Those who passed the certification with excellent marks were awarded certificates of successful completion of the training course. The best school participants will be sent to the All-Russian school for training managers of all-Russian labor projects in Moscow.

The School of Student Detachment Commanders is an effective base for training leaders of line student detachments to work at work sites and improve their professional competencies. They must understand their responsibility and be leaders who know how to listen to their teammates, be ready to support and help in various situations. The school has been held for the ninth year in a row, which would have been impossible without the support of both executive authorities responsible for youth policy, education, the right to work and social protection of the population, and from the heads of educational organizations. Many summer labor achievements of Crimean youth are laid precisely on such educational platforms. Understanding this, the leadership in the Republic of Crimea helps in organizing and conducting training schools for leaders of student labor groups. I would like to note that not every region has such an effective system of interaction. One of the indicators of the success of such interaction is that at the end of last year, student teams of the Republic of Crimea became second in the country in terms of the totality of all indicators of their activities. We appreciate this attitude and are ready to prove once again in our work the desire to work for the benefit of our region, for the benefit of our country,” said Vladimir Kaidansky, commander of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian Student Detachments.
