Lending to Crimean developers increased by more than 1.6 times over the year

At the beginning of September 2024, 127 loan agreements worth about 202 billion rubles were in force between Crimean developers, who use escrow accounts for settlements under agreements for participation in shared construction, and banks. Over the year, the volume of these funds increased by more than 1.6 times.
Shared construction continues to be in demand in the region: at the beginning of September this year, there were 14.6 thousand escrow accounts in Crimea. Over the year, their number increased by 2.2 times. High demand for housing on the primary market in the first half of the year was largely supported by preferential government programs,” explains Igor Tsvetkov, Head of the Bank of Russia Branch for the Republic of Crimea. – At the same time, since July, the annual growth rate of mortgage lending in Crimea, as well as in the country as a whole, has been slowing down.
In total, since the beginning of the project financing mechanism in the region, over 11 thousand escrow accounts have been opened, from which about 44.6 billion rubles have been transferred to developers after the commissioning of objects.
