Librarians of Sevastopol became winners of the Bank of Russia competition

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Four videos from Sevastopol won prizes in the financial literacy competition for librarians. The Sevastopol team had to fight for the victory with 170 rivals from the Southern and North Caucasian federal districts.

The competition within the framework of the project “Financial Literacy Corners in Libraries” was held by the Southern Main Department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. Sevastopol Libraries presented six video lessons on financial education topics. The authors of the videos were consulted by specialized experts of the regional branch of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

Of the 170 works of the participants, the jury noted the most original and creative, including four Sevastopol video lessons. In the overall standings, losing to Krasnodar colleagues, Ksenia Kotova took the second place. She represented branch library No. 4 of the Central City Library and chose the topic of cyber fraud.

In three nominations (“Finance speaker”, “Creative financial literacy” and “Regional viewing”) Irina Bakal from library-branch No. 9, and Nikita Shestakov and Tatiana Kulyukina from children’s libraries No. 9 became the winners 13 and No. 5.

All nominees were awarded with a Certificate of Honor from the Head of the Southern GU of the Bank of Russia, and the winners received valuable prizes.

Heads of Sevastopol State Budgetary Institution «RIBS» and Sevastopol State Budgetary Institution «CLS for Children» Elena Volkova and Elena Panchenko, commenting on the success of their colleagues, noted that the competition has become an additional incentive for librarians. As a reminder, Sevastopol libraries are currently implementing a project on financial education, including at the “financial literacy corners” designed jointly with the regional branch of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

By the way, views and marks of emotions in social networks became separate indicators of the success of a particular video. The works of the winners got more than 50 thousand views and over 4.5 thousand likes.

Each video lesson was original and interesting in its own way , — quotes the press service of Mikhail Bezhan, head of the Sevastopol Branch of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. – And each of the works has its own viewer, whether it be a schoolboy, student or pensioner. Sevastopol libraries are expanding the formats of communication with the audience, and are mastering modern communication formats. Their work will certainly be used in regional financial education events.
