Let us remind you that Gennady Fedorovich Merkush (age — 71 years old) disappeared on June 24 in the city of Saki — Here. The man went to take out the trash and never returned home.

The search request was received on the hotline on June 25 at 07:50 am. Coordinator Marina Filimonova (call sign “Cruella”) took over the search.

Considering his age, the fact that Gennady Fedorovich has complete loss of vision and almost a day has passed since his disappearance, we understand that we cannot delay, something has happened. The situation was aggravated by the fact that there were estuaries and swamps around. We announce an urgent active departure.

The first volunteers arrived at the scene and at 12:00 began working on the first tasks. By 14:00, another crew of volunteers arrived at the site, who immediately began inspecting the shore of the estuary, and at 14:18 information was received from our guys: “STOP! FOUND! ALIVE!”, weakened, spent a day in the water, emergency evacuation required! Well, then, on their own, the guys pulled the exhausted grandfather out of the swamp. The evacuation was successful and our Gennady Fedorovich was handed over to the emergency medical team and police officers. A truly miracle happened today!
