Loser fugitive will be tried in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Crimea, the prosecutor’s office of the Kirov district approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 39-year-old local resident. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1 art. 313 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (escape from custody committed by a person in pre-trial detention).
The investigation established that the man was accused of attempted murder of his wife, and the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention against him. In August 2023, after the end of the court hearing in the Kirovsky District Court, the man was escorted by police officers to a pre-trial detention center. While the official car was driving along one of the highways in the Kirov region, he was able to open the back door, after which, overcoming the actions of police officers to stop the escape from custody, he jumped out of the car onto the road. However, the man was unable to escape from the police and was immediately detained.— said the prosecutor’s office.
The criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent for consideration to the court.
