A regional program to support and promote local brands and manufacturers has been approved in Sevastopol. The corresponding decision was made at the next meeting of the city government chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
According to the acting Director of the Department of Economic Development of Sevastopol Alexey Popov, one of the key tasks will be the creation and popularization of an umbrella regional brand “Made in Sevastopol”, which will unite urban manufacturers. The launch of the regional brand is planned for 2024.
The program provides for the creation of a special product (microloan) for local manufacturers with a reduced interest rate, assistance in certification of their goods, provision of services for trademark registration and promotion on marketplaces. In addition, it is planned to promote wine brands within the framework of the priority project “Terroir Sevastopol” and develop the fishing cluster.
In Sevastopol we already have a number of support measures in place for small and medium-sized businesses. Creating a regional brand will help us promote the products of local manufacturers in the domestic and foreign marketsemphasized Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The regional program was developed in pursuance of instructions from the President of Russia following the results of the plenary forum “Strong Ideas for New Times”.
