Main construction work is being completed at the municipal solid waste landfill near Sudak

The equipment of local treatment facilities at the municipal solid waste (MSW) landfill near Sudak is completed by 95%. Also, work continues on backfilling the fertile soil layer (35%), creating a gas drainage system for the landfill (30%) and preparing tanks for collecting storm water ( %). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea.

Work at the Sudak test site is being carried out as part of the implementation of the Clean Country regional project.

In 2022 year, it is planned to continue activities for the reclamation of the object within the framework of the regional project «Clean Country», which ensures the achievement of the goals, indicators and results of the federal project «Clean Country», which is part of the national project «Ecology» , — specified in the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea.

The purpose of the regional project is the reclamation of solid municipal waste disposal sites within the boundaries of the cities of the Republic of Crimea.
