Major renovations under the presidential program have begun at Sevastopol school No. 41

Major renovations have begun at Sevastopol school No. 41. The work will be carried out under the capital repair program, which was initiated by the President of Russia.

As Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev previously noted, the school has long been in need of updating. The roof of the facility is leaking, cracks have already appeared along the facade of the building, it is necessary to strengthen the foundation, install new fire escapes and perform other work.

We pay special attention to the overhaul of Sevastopol schools according to the presidential program. In most educational institutions, including school No. 41, contractors are already working. Control over the object, formed plans and deadlines for work should be already at the initial stage. Today I was personally convinced that the work process has begun. The contractor has been tasked with completing major renovations at school No. 41 in the first quarter of 2025, — quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol and. O. In total, this year, under the overhaul program, it is planned to repair 12 facilities in 8 schools in the city.

The objects are located in different areas of the city: Leninsky, Nakhimovsky, Balaklavsky. If we talk about school No. 41, it was built in 1960; before the major renovation, 831 children studied at the school. During the overhaul of school No. 41, students in grades 1-5 were transferred to school No. 19, students in grades 6-11 were transferred to school No. 42,” commented Anton Ulyantsev, deputy director of the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol.

The head of the department visits all facilities personally; interdepartmental meetings are held on school grounds under the leadership of Ivan Pogodin, the main goal of which is to form an integrated approach to repairs, consider all design solutions as much as possible, take into account the wishes of the school director, parent committee, provide for additional expenses and much more.

In mid-February, the contracting organization Stroyproekt began a major overhaul of the educational institution.

Dismantling work is currently underway. About 30 builders and 6 engineers from the production and technical department are involved in the project. As of the current date, dismantling work is underway on three floors of the school in the active phase. Let us remind you that in 2023, 11 facilities in 7 schools were renovated under the presidential program. This year, as part of the renovation of 8 schools, the experience and successful practices applied at already renovated educational facilities will be used.
