The major renovation of 26 apartment buildings located near the historical and archaeological park «Tauric Chersonesos» is in full swing. The Governor of Sevastopol asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to allocate a subsidy to create a harmonious appearance of the residential area. The amount of allocated funds exceeded 450 million rubles, reported Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The head of state supported me, we were allocated a subsidy of more than 450 million rubles, and now the apartment building is undergoing major repairs. Specially for the houses adjacent to the historical and archaeological park, together with the architects, designers and archaeologists of the New Chersonesus project, color solutions were developed, thanks to which the entire block will look like a single whole, said Mikhail Razvozhaev. The project provides for painting the facades in two colors: terracotta — repeating the colors of the roofs and ceramics of Chersonesus, and a light tone of natural stone, selected for the color scheme of New Chersonesus. Now specialists are plastering and painting the facades, the work is planned to be fully completed in September.
Also, the roofs of the houses next to «New Khersones» will be repaired: in 16 houses this work has already been carried out, in the rest they will be updated by the end of this year. In addition to the above, windows and doors in the entrances are being replaced — that is, all the houses will be decorated in a single style, said Dmitry Shpagin, director of the Fund for Assistance to Capital Repairs.
If the work had been carried out exclusively within the framework of the regional capital repair program, that is, with contributions from the owners, the residents of the houses would have had to wait their turn for approximately ten years. Now, thanks to the allocation of a federal subsidy, the block around the historical and archaeological park will be decorated in a single style, – said the director of the fund.

The historical and archaeological park «Tauric Chersonesos» is being built on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The area of the cultural complex is 24 hectares. The park will include: the Museum of Crimea and Novorossiya, the Museum of Christianity, the Museum of Antiquity and Byzantium, the amphitheater for 1,200 spectators «Griffin Arena», an international archaeological center, tourist and pilgrimage centers, as well as quarters with a reconstruction of the ancient appearance of Chersonesos.
