People noted that March thunderstorms begin on March 23. There are still frosts in the mornings, but they are not as severe as before. Nature awakens from winter hibernation. The time for melt water to flood is coming, so our ancestors on this day prayed that the floods would not cause harm. By the way, it was believed that Vasilisa endows water with the ability to remember and see the hidden, and therefore she drowns the houses only of those who spent a year in sin.
On March 22, the church honors the memory of Saint Vasilisa. A little girl who died a martyr at the age of 9. The baby was executed during the period of persecution of Christians, during the reign of Emperor Diocletian. The legend says that they tried to force the girl to renounce Christ, but despite terrible torture, she refused to do so.

- The morning is cloudy, and in the evening the sky clears — towards frost.
