The people noted that March 23 begin the March thunderstorms. In the morning, there are still frosts, but they are no longer as hard as before. Nature awakens from winter hibernation. The church on March 22 honors the memory of St. Vasilissa. A little girl who died with a martyrdom at 9 years old. The baby was executed during the persecution of Christians, during the reign of Emperor Diocletian. The girl, reads the legend, tried to force to renounce Christ, but, despite the terrible torture, she refused to do it.
