The church on March 29 honors the memory of the martyr Savvinus of Ermopolis (Egyptian). Lived in the 3rd century. He suffered for his exceptional faith in Christianity — he was drowned in the river.
Among the people, this day was dedicated to inspecting carts. They were preparing them for the next spring-summer season. There was a custom: they harnessed a horse to a cart and drove to the outskirts and back to the house. It was believed that this path brings good luck in business for the summer period.
