Marines of the Black Sea Fleet repulsed the landing of a simulated enemy in the Crimea

In the Crimea, at the Opuk training ground, a bilateral special tactical exercise was held with units of the marines of the Black Sea Fleet, during which the military personnel worked out the defense of the sea coast and repelling the landing of an amphibious assault. In addition, the airborne assault units of the Marine Corps of the Black Sea Fleet carried out covert movement to the indicated area of the coast.
Earlier, in Kazachya Bay, marines conducted a training session on loading military equipment and personnel into the tween deck of the Saratov large landing ship. Then the Marine Corps units made the transition by sea and landed on an unequipped section of the coast.
In total, about 500 military personnel took part in the exercise, about 50 units of military and special equipment of the Marine Corps were involved. The event was held in accordance with the plan for combat training and daily activities of the forces (troops) of the fleet in the winter training period , the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
