Mass accident in Sevastopol: three injured, including a five-year-old child

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The police are investigating a traffic accident in Sevastopol involving four cars. The accident, in which three people were injured, including a minor, occurred today at 12:25.

A 41-year-old driver, driving a Hyundai, near house No. 4 on Gagarin Avenue, incorrectly chose a safe speed, lost control of the vehicle on the right bend in the road, as a result of which he drove to the left into the oncoming traffic lane, where he collided with a Nissan passenger car driven by a 68-year-old driver, who was moving in the opposite direction of the car.

After this, the Hyundai continued moving due to inertia and collided with a Toyota driven by a 47-year-old driver, who was also moving straight in the opposite direction.

The impact then threw the Toyota car into a Mercedes, driven by a 42-year-old driver who was also driving in the opposite direction in his lane straight ahead.— the Sevastopol Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs provided details.

As a result of the accident, the driver and passenger of the Toyota, as well as a 5-year-old passenger of the Hyundai, received injuries of varying severity and were taken to a medical facility.

The drivers’ state of intoxication has not been established. An investigation is underway into the accident with casualties.
