Mass accident on the road «Sevastopol — Inkerman»: presumably, the truck's brakes failed

The police are checking on the fact of an accident that occurred on the Sevastopol-Inkerman highway. As specified in the traffic police, a mass accident occurred the night before — at 21:45, on the descent (12th km of the road). The truck crushed five cars under it. Fortunately, no one died.

The 66-year-old driver of a Daf truck with a semi-trailer lost control, did not choose a safe distance and collided with two Volkswagen Polo cars, as well as a Hyundai Creta, Mitsubishi Lancer and Chery Tigo. As a result of a traffic accident, the 27-year-old driver of one of the Volkswagen Polo cars was injured and was taken to the city hospital. On the fact of a traffic accident, the employees of the State traffic inspectorate are checking, all the circumstances of the incident are being established— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol and showed a video of the moment of the accident.
