The employees of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Saksky District are conducting an investigation into the accident on the Simferopol-Yevpatoriya highway involving three cars. The accident occurred the day before (at 14:40) on the 33rd km of the highway.
The driver of the HIUNDAY SONATA, born in 1956, moving along the highway from the city of Saki in the direction of the city of Simferopol, while performing an overtaking maneuver in a place permitted for this, drove into the lane intended for oncoming traffic, where he collided with an oncoming VOLKSWAGEN GOLF driven by a citizen, born in 1964. After the collision, the driver of the HIUNDAY SONATA collided with the overtaken HIUNDAY IXSS.
As a result of the accident, the driver and passenger of the VOLKSWAGEN GOLF received injuries of varying severity and were taken to a medical facility.— the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reported.
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the ambulance service were working at the scene. The circumstances of the accident are being established and an investigation is underway.
