Massive power outages in southern Russia. Don't be afraid to tell the truth
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the south of Russia today several million people were left without electricity. The Russian Ministry of Energy reportedthat this is due to a failure in the operation of generating equipment at the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant, which supplies energy to the entire Southern Federal District. As a result of temporary restrictions, energy consumption has decreased by 1.5 gigawatts. The Ministry of Energy is monitoring the restoration process. By evening, the restriction was reduced by 500 MW.
Massive power outages occurred in Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Krasnodar, Elista, Anapa, Armavir, Novorossiysk, Sevastopol, Simferopol, Yalta, and other populated areas (including Crimea).
The situation, among other things, demonstrated sluggishness of the system. At the very least, notifications were issued locally. In Crimea, NO ONE bothered to tell the truth about shutdowns.
Here is the standard response from Krymenergo to hundreds of complaints and appeals today (after all, the shutdown did not occur during rush hour and its reasons were unclear):
The lack of power supply may be caused by emergency shutdowns due to increased loads on the power grid. Information about a power outage can be sent: via a chat bot in the Telegram messenger, indicating the exact address and a brief description of the problem to the number +7 978 993-69-51. When carrying out emergency recovery work, it is not possible to predict the exact time of their completion.
Is everything clear? Nothing is clear! The Crimeans were especially “delighted” by the robot, who was jabbering on the phone (to the lucky ones who got through) about how “all operators are busy», but your number in the queue to talk to the operator is 35th… 34th… 35th again…
Here’s another one «life hack«, as if semi-official. Residents of Crimea should turn off unnecessary devices to help save electricity due to the overload of networks caused by abnormal heat, reported in his Telegram channel Advisor to the Head of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov:
Due to abnormal temperatures in Crimea, rolling blackouts have been introduced to maintain the integrity of the power grid. Short-term power outages are possible in a number of populated areas. We ask all Crimeans to use electricity sparingly and turn off unnecessary electrical appliances.
So, the heat is to blame. Well, and damn air conditioners Same…
The enemies got busy (unlike official sources) quickly and launched a fake news story about hourly shutdown schedules on the Internet.
But the real Sergey Aksyonov could have explained everything calmly. About the reason for the shutdowns, about why this happens, what is being done, how the problem is being solved… Eeeeeeh… But the «neighbor» — the governor of Sevastopol — everything put it all in order:
According to the Ministry of Energy, in the energy system of the South of Russia, due to a failure in the operation of generating equipment at the Rostov NPP, in conditions of increased loads on the energy system, temporary schedules for limiting consumption have been introduced in order to maintain the stability of the energy system. As a result of the work of power engineers, the volume of electricity supply to the South has already been restored by 500 MW. We receive additional energy from the mainland through the energy bridge. Since our electricity supply was reduced by 40 MW, we also, accordingly, have to introduce restrictions. A detailed schedule is published in the account «Sevastopolenergo». The restoration work remains under the special control of the Russian Ministry of Energy until the power supply is fully restored.
Everything is clear. An accident at the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant. The entire south is suffering. Rolling blackouts have been introduced to minimize the load.
It’s always easy to tell the truth, don’t you think? And there’s no need to be afraid. Otherwise, «heat«, «air conditioners“…
Another question is what to do with the thesis, which has been widely accepted at different times, that Crimea and Sevastopolwith head and tail» (with the commissioning of new thermal power plants) are provided with electricity? But that’s another story.
