Medes brought two Sevastopol residents to the bench. What is the essence of the matter

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol approved the indictment and sent a criminal case to the court against two local residents aged 42 and 52 years old, who illegally mined Medes.
They are accused under Part 3 of Art. 256 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal mining (catch) of aquatic biological resources, using the method of mass extermination of aquatic biological resources, in places of spawning, a group of persons by prior conspiracy with causing especially large damage). It was established that on the morning of October 18, 2024, men arrived in the territory of the berth No. 103 in the Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol with the aim of illegally mining mussels during the spawning period. One of them plunged into the water and with the help of a home-made scraper-plug, which is a means of mass extermination of aquatic biological resources, collected more than 16 thousand copies of mussels in the water bay. Then men loaded mussels in the minivan of the Honda-stepwagon brand, belonging to one of them,-voiced the details of the case in the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Sevastopol.
The attackers intended to take out the obtained resources to a pre -rented workshop for further processing, packaging and sales, but when leaving the berth, they were detained by employees of the border bodies.
With their actions, men caused damage for a total of over 350 thousand rubles.
The investigation was conducted by the department of inquiry and administrative practice of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea.
The criminal case with the approved prosecutor’s office was sent to the Nakhimovsky District Court of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits.
In addition, the city prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit to recover the full amount of damage caused by their actions from the accused.
