«Meganome»: young artists, photographers and art managers will unite into a community at the Academy

From May 13 to 19, at the site of the Academy of Creative Industries «Meganom» (project «Tavrida.ART» from Rosmolodezh) a program will be held for young Russian artists, photographers, art critics, art managers and exhibition curators, its goal will be the creation of a Youth Creative Community visual arts.

Registration for the program is already open, it will last until April 18 at website art cluster «Tavrida» and in the application «Meganome» on the social network VKontakte.

In May, young Russian artists, photographers, art critics, art managers and exhibition curators from all over Russia will gather at the Meganom Academy. Here, from May 13 to 19, the “Youth Creative Community of Fine Arts” program will be held, aimed at the creation, development and strategic planning of a community of cultural figures in the field of contemporary art. Program participants will have to create a community development roadmap based on their experience. They will select potential partners for collaboration, mentors under whose leadership they would like to work, and events in the field of contemporary fine art that they would be interested in implementing.

The work of the Youth Creative Community of Fine Arts will be aimed at formulating the conceptual meanings of exhibition activities. The participants will prepare and present for defense their first joint project, which will subsequently be implemented at the festival of young art “Tavrida.ART”.

The leader of the Youth Creative Community of Fine Arts will be the co-founder of Omelchenko Gallery and the author of the educational project about art “ARTPatrol” Yuri Omelchenko.

The curator of the program will be the head of the “Fine Arts” direction of the “Tavrida” art cluster, Alexandra Ilyunina. The experts will be researcher in the field of media studies and visual culture, expert at Rosmolodezh.Grants, researcher at the educational department of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art Valeria Putintseva-Ardanskaya; art critic, anthropologist, founder of the VZOR Lab project Irina Danilicheva; Anastasia Kuklina, head of the public events sector «Nizhny 800», head of the «Team of Creative Practices» project and the «V Glavnom» gallery. The Omelchenko Gallery project will become a partner of the program.

Participation is free. Applications are open until April 18 on the website art cluster «Tavrida» and in the app «Meganome» on VKontakte.
