March 27 is the day of memory of Yuri Gagarin. The Earth’s first cosmonaut tragically died on this day in 1968. The event in memory of the hero who conquered space was held by the Artek children’s camp «Khrustalny», which is named after Gagarin.
Yuri Gagarin visited Artek several times. He came to the Land of Childhood, talked with the children, and initiated the opening of the Space Exhibition. In the children’s camp «Khrustalny» there was a monument to Yuri Alekseevich, near which the young «Gagarinites» held a line.
The guys prepared a creative performance dedicated to the hero, and also told their peers the life story of the cosmonaut. For many years, there has been a tradition in Artek — children tie an Artek tie to the Gagarin monument. This is a symbol of memory of the first cosmonaut of the Earth, a great friend of Artek.
The children are sure that millions of people will always remember this smiling guy with a sparkling love for life. The participants of the action said thank you to the hero for his Feat, Dream, Pride and Smile for all time.
