Metropolitan Tikhon presented diplomas to graduates of the Tauride Theological Seminary

The Holy Archimandrite of the monastery served: the acting rector of the Tauride Theological Seminary, the Dean of the Simferopol City Church District Hieromonk Andrei (Korotkov); vice -rector for academic work, archimandrite Siluan (Pasenko); Vice -Rector for Educational Work Priest Artemy Severin; Brotherhood in a sacred dignity.

Behind the Liturgy, Metropolitan Tikhon performed the deacon’s chirotony of a graduate of the Tauride Theological Seminary Mstislav Bazarov and the priestly chirotony of Deacon Vladislav Boyarentsev.

Students, students and graduates of the spiritual school, parishioners of the temple prayed for the worship.

In the superior verse, Metropolitan Tikhon turned to those present with the archpastoral word.

At the end of the service, the ruling bishop handed the graduates diplomas, expressing joy on the occasion of the successful passage of tests and wishing the seminarians a happy priestly ministry, the help of God and sincere prayers.

The final act ended with a bishop’s blessing, a common photo for memory and a festive meal, behind which the words of congratulations and gratitude were heard.

The Tauride Spiritual Seminary is one of the oldest spiritual educational institutions of Taurida, the main task of which is the training of clergymen. The idea of ​​opening the seminary arose back in the middle of the 19th century, when St. Innocent (Borisov) in one of his conversations expressed a desire for the creation of the «Academy of Missionaries» on the peninsula. The intention of St. Innocent to create a spiritual school in Crimea was implemented after his death, in 1873, by the works of the famous preacher of St. Guri (Karpov), the Archbishop of Tauride.
