Mikhail Razvozhaev: all conditions for transparent voting have been created in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Sevastopol residents actively vote in the Russian presidential elections, and the city has created all the conditions to ensure the transparency of the people’s will. This was announced by the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev following a visit to the Public Observation Center.

The center opened today, on the first day of all-Russian voting. It is located in the Fleet Officers’ House. There is a large screen installed here, on which there is a live broadcast from 222 video surveillance cameras located at 111 polling stations.

Any citizen without prior accreditation can come to the Public Observation Center and see in real time what is happening at any site or view an archive of video recordings; 10 access points are equipped for this. The main goal is to ensure absolute transparency of the voting process. The Center for Public Observation has a team on duty to respond to non-standard situations; it consists of members of the Public Chamber of Sevastopol, electoral experts, lawyers and journalists.

In Sevastopol, all the necessary requirements for organizing elections have been met: delivery of ballots, operation of polling stations, security, organization of a Public Observation Center. This is the second federal election in the Hero City, and Sevastopol residents have been actively voting since this morning. In addition, our city is among the regions where remote electronic voting is organized — according to the Northern Electoral Commission, about 40 thousand residents vote online. All conditions for a transparent expression of will in Sevastopol have been createdsaid Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The head of the city noted that many Sevastopol residents came to their polling stations today, but even more people wishing to vote are expected at the weekend.

Tomorrow, March 16, is a historic day for Sevastopol, for Crimea: the 10th anniversary of the referendum. I talked to many Sevastopol residents, and they say: we want to repeat these emotions, we want to once again experience the same feeling of joy that we experienced when our city returned home– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopl Mikhail Razvozhaev.

Let us remind you that there are 187 polling stations in Sevastopol, another special polling station is organized in the first city hospital.
