Mikhail Razvozhaev — laureate of a special prize «Golden Mask»

I am very glad to welcome and congratulate our dear guests, laureates on receiving this wonderful award, which is already 30 years old. You are inspired by thousands and millions of spectators. And most importantly, you transmit your knowledge and experience to the next generation. I am glad that the theater in our country again becomes truly Russian, affecting significant topics for our country. It is especially important that regional performances get more and more attention— said, opening the ceremony, president of the Prize and Festival «Golden Mask» Vladimir Mashkov.

The award was received by 12 cultural figures and two chapters of the region — the governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev and the Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako received a «golden mask» for the support of theatrical art of Russia.

This award for Sevastopol means that everyone becomes completely obvious: the city, without false modesty, acquires the features of the cultural center of the South of Russia. Everyone knows what role Sevastopol has always played and plays for our country as a hero city, as a city-protector, as a city of courageous people who are ready to give their lives for their country. But today we see the formation of another important line in the development of the city. Thanks to the decisions of our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, unprecedented cultural projects are being implemented today in Sevastopol. This, of course, is the New Chersonesos museum-guard complex and the cultural and educational complex on Cape Khrustalny, which includes the Opera and Ballet Theater and the choreography Academy. These are absolutely amazing projects that will glorify Sevastopol as the cultural capital of the South of Russia. Of course, I thank both the leaders and the groups of all our Sevastopol theaters, which devotely serve the city and make the lives of Sevastopols filled with art and inspiration every day— emphasizes the head of the city.

Minister of Culture Olga Borisovna Lyubimova often happens in Sevastopol, pays a lot of attention to our city. Roman Vladimirovich Karmanov, General Director of the Presidential Fund of Cultural Initiatives, constantly supports Sevastopol projects. I do not get tired of thanking Vladimir Lvovich Mashkov, who took patronage over our children’s art school — soon we will have listening to the theater school of Oleg Tabakov, this is a great opportunity for our talented children. Separate thanks to Nikita Sergeyevich Mikhalkov. Last year, on the 10th anniversary of the Russian spring, he came to Sevastopol, in the midst of the enemy missile attacks on our city. And, of course, the audience met him standing. Many gratitude to Natalia Valerievna Popova and the entire Innopractics team, which holds the Opera in Chersonesos every year: thanks to you, Sevastopol visited a huge number of world -class stars— notes the head of the city.

The special prize «For an outstanding contribution to the development of theatrical art» was received by figures of different regions of Russia. Nikita Mikhalkov, Marina Neyolova, Boris Blank, Mark Rozovsky, Evgeny Steblov, Natalya Tenyakova, Alexander Titel, Yuri Aleksandrov, Alexander Orlov, Airat Akhmetshin, Irina Sinnova, Vladimir Uvarov were awarded.

The Golden Mask festival starts in Moscow on April 1.
