Mikhail Razvozhaev: “The flag is what unites the country and gives strength even in the most difficult times”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
I congratulate you on the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation.
On August 22, 1991, the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR adopted a resolution on the national flag of Russia. The tricolor once again flew over the country.
Its history goes back more than 300 years. It was about it that Emperor Nicholas I once said: «Once raised, the Russian flag must not be lowered.» These words contain the greatness, power, and unity of our Fatherland.
The flag is what unites the country and gives strength even in the most difficult times. The multinational Russian people under the white-blue-red flag perform feats and repel the enemy.
For Sevastopol residents, the Russian flag is a symbol of love and pride for the Motherland, the struggle for historical justice, for the right to speak their native language and live in their native country. During the Russian Spring, the streets of the Hero City were decorated with tricolors, and when thousands of people came to Nakhimov Square with Russian flags on People’s Will Day, it became clear: Sevastopol has returned home forever!
And today our soldiers are fighting on the fronts of a special military operation — for the Russian world, for our history, our national identity, for our flag and our Motherland. We are all citizens of a great country.
Happy Holidays!
Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev
