CrimeaPRESS reports:
Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko took part in the section “Financial education of children and youth. How to develop basic financial literacy skills”, held in Krasnoyarsk. A special section took place within the framework of the All-Russian Conference on the exchange of experience and presentation of the best practices of the constituent entities of the federation in the field of financial education.
Speaking at the section, Deputy Prime Minister presented republican educational project “School by the Sea”, where she shared with colleagues from different regions of the country the achievements of the republic in the implementation of school initiative budgeting.
Crimean practice “Educational project “School by the Sea”, which the Government of Crimea, together with the Center for the Study of Civil Initiatives at the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov, with the methodological support of the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance of Russia, was first tested and implemented from June 26 to July 14 in a health camp for children “Scarlet Sails” in Zaozerny is unique in its essence. Our project is dedicated to the ideas of school initiative budgeting, on the basis of which children learned the basics of financial literacy in a playful way. Well, how could it be otherwise? After all, in order to create and implement your project you need certain financial knowledge and skills in project activities, — Irina Kiviko said at the beginning of her speech.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that working with children in the Scarlet Sails camp as part of the School by the Sea project brought many positive impressions and provided invaluable experience.
Our task was not only to familiarize schoolchildren with the basics of proactive budgeting, but, above all, to make the educational program exciting and memorable, so that the learning process itself would not be boring, extremely exciting and interesting, because the children came to relax at seanotes Irina Kiviko.
She added that during the shift period, thematic events were organized almost every day with the children vacationing in the camp (more than 530 people): quests, games, seminars, quizzes. A total of 17 activities were carried out related to the stages of preparation of ShkIB projects.
For 21 days, schoolchildren from different parts of Crimea got acquainted with the ideas of ShkIB in a playful way, went through all stages of preparing an initiative project from putting forward an idea and finding like-minded people, to presenting the finished project and passing documentary and technical examination.
The Crimean experience has shown that educational projects such as “School by the Sea” play a key role in the development and upbringing of children, helping them become active and responsible “owners” of their land! And such initiatives should receive increasing attention and support, because we are talking about the future of our Crimea, our country!,” Irina Kiviko summed up during her speech at the section.
