Ministry of Emergency Situations: elections in Crimea passed calmly, no emergency situations were recorded

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea were on duty at 31 polling stations from September 8 to 10. Firefighters monitored the security of the election process.
Before the opening of polling stations in the areas of responsibility of their units Firefighters from the State Institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea» conducted instructions on compliance with fire safety rules with members of the commissions of polling stations. At the facilities, the availability and serviceability of external water supply sources and autonomous backup power sources were carefully checked. Access roads, emergency exits, availability of primary fire extinguishing equipment, etc. were inspected. Members of election commissions were given leaflets on fire safety measures and actions in the event of a fire.— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
According to the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Sadakliev, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Crimea has developed plans for the use of forces and means in case of emergencies, and clarified issues of interaction with other services and departments included in the Unified State System for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations (RSChS). Additional briefings were conducted with the persons responsible for safety at the sites, as well as with the operational duty officers of the duty control services. Crimean rescuers were on duty in enhanced mode.
There were no emergency situations during the elections. Locally, there were calls about “mining” of polling stations. The response of emergency services was ensured in accordance with the regulations. All messages received turned out to be false— summed up the emergency department.
