Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Crimean Tatar theater: not at a performance, but at an exercise
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted fire-tactical exercises (at an increased level of complexity) at the Crimean Tatar State Academic Music and Drama Theater.
According to the plan of the exercise, a fire occurred while visitors were in the auditorium. The building’s automatic fire alarm system went off. Theater employees were unable to stop the spread of the flames using primary fire extinguishing agents. Solid flammable decoration materials contributed to the rapid spread of fire— said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea.
The facility staff announced the evacuation of people and at the same time called 101. Firefighters from the 1st Fire and Rescue Squad arrived at the scene and began reconnaissance and extinguishing the apparent fire.
Thanks to the coordinated and competent actions of all emergency services, the fire was extinguished in the shortest possible time. In total, 12 units of equipment and 54 personnel from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in the training.
