CrimeaPRESS reports:

Operatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea, together with employees of the regional FSB Directorate of Russia, detained a citizen of a neighboring state who has temporary registration in the territory of one of the European countries. He is accused of attempting to kill a serviceman by blowing up his car, intentionally damaging someone else’s property, as well as illegal trafficking in weapons, ammunition and explosives.

The crime was committed on the afternoon of September 23 in the city of Dzhankoy. Under the bottom of a car parked near residential buildings, a homemade explosive device with a capacity of about 500 grams of TNT went off. The foreign car was damaged. In addition, windows in a nearby house were broken. No people were hurt.

As a result of operational search activities, the identity of the person involved was established, and he was detained on the territory of the city of Sevastopol. During the search, police discovered a cache equipped with him, from which electric detonators, an explosive based on hexogen, a submachine gun, a revolver and cartridges were seized— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

The materials collected by the operational services were transferred to the bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia for investigative actions.
