Ministry of Natural Resources of Crimea implements the regional project «Clean Country»

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea continues the implementation of the regional project «Clean Country».

At the beginning of the current year, at the sites “Remediation of the MSW placement facility in Belogorsk of the Republic of Crimea” and “Remediation of the MSW placement facility at the address: Republic of Crimea, Sudak, solid waste landfill, Sudak-Bogatovka highway, in the area building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations”, work continues on backfilling the fertile soil layer, arranging roadways from crushed stone, work is being completed on the installation of a gas drainage system for landfills , the press service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources in the Republic of Crimea reported.

Upon completion of the technical stage, in the biological stage of reclamation starts, aimed at restoring disturbed lands by preparing the soil, applying the main fertilizer, pre-sowing cultivation and rolling the soil.

It is planned to complete the work in December 2024 of the year.

Reference: The implementation of the regional project «Clean Country» began in 2019 and is calculated up to 2024 inclusive. The purpose of the regional project is the reclamation of solid municipal waste disposal sites within the boundaries of the cities of the Republic of Crimea.
