This year, the Gorny children’s health camp celebrates its 60th anniversary. In the anniversary year, modernization is underway — new modular houses have appeared here, where children can comfortably accommodate. Sevastopol became one of the 15 subjects of Russia that received funds for the project. The initiative of the Federation Council to upgrade and modernize the infrastructure of children’s health camps is supervised by Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko. The buildings are created at the expense of federal funding, and the equipment of the houses is purchased at the expense of the regional budget.
The Gorny camp is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. Thanks to the project, we were able to almost double the camp’s capacity and carried out landscaping. Educational work is carried out in the camp, thematic shifts are held: environmental, sports, patriotic, tourist, of course, the “Movement of the First” line goes through all the shifts. Already on Monday, June 5, the camp will accept 410 children — I’m sure they will be happy— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Vice-Governor Igor Mikheev.
Three new prefabricated houses appeared in the camp, each of which can accommodate 52 people — these are two detachments. The rooms are designed for triple occupancy with a private bathroom. There is also a gazebo for each squad — a place where the guys can hold meetings and events in bad weather in the fresh air. Previously, 260 children could rest in the camp at the same time, but now there are already 410.
Along with the modernization of the camp, the number of employees is increasing, new jobs are appearing for those who provide security, as well as counselors, catering workers.
