Money is being poured into Victory Park in Sevastopol: the fountain was repaired for 16 million
CrimeaPRESS reports:
For this purpose, on May 15, at a meeting of the Sevastopol government, a decision was made to allocate 15.86 million rubles from the Reserve Fund of the city government. According to Nikolai Bitosov, deputy director of the municipal services department, these funds will help pay for the ongoing repairs of the fountain.
Let us remind you that the Victory Fountain was put into operation on May 9, 2019, the work was carried out by the Moscow company Riviera JSC..
This will be a color and musical fountain with a large water screen on which various pictures can be projected. In addition, the fountain operates with three types of jets, the combination and interweaving of which will allow you to create water compositions of different configurations. Color illumination achieves maximum perceptual effect. All this will be possible thanks to the modern technical equipment of the fountain.,” said Alexander Brovkin, executive director of Riviera JSC, in April 2019 to Sevastopolskaya Gazeta.
But in this view, the fountain did not last long; in the fall of the same year it ceased to function and turned into a fetid puddle.
As it turned out, the fountains in Victory Park were not made according to the design and were made from low-grade equipment. Figuratively speaking, instead of a Mercedes of the latest model, with the connivance of the then authorities, Sevastopol residents were sold a Zhiguli for a lot of money.
Even then, the Victory Fountain could and should have been remade under the warranty, which at that time was valid for another three years. The situation worsened after the coating around the bowl partially sagged, and granite tiles began to fall off the parapets.
On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Sevastopol from the Nazi invaders, the city government stated that the warranty period had expired and the fountain needed to be put in order at the expense of the city. True, with the caveat that a lawsuit was filed against the company that had been reconstructing Victory Park for so long and scandalously, and Riviera JSC was required to eliminate the subsidence of the coating around the bowl, the peeling of granite slabs and pay a fine of three million rubles.
