Money is needed: 25% of Crimeans have a part-time job
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Every fourth Crimean has a part-time job today. Increasingly, they earn extra money openly, without hiding it at their main job. Representatives of the economically active population with a permanent job and HR managers took part in surveys of the SuperJob service for finding high-paying jobs.
In addition to the main job, 25% of Crimeans also have a part-time job, and 16% do not hide this from the employer, and 9% work in secret. Those who do not make a secret of their part-time work explain this by the absence of such prohibitions on the part of the company, as well as the right to dispose of their free time at their own discretion. Part-time workers who are in no hurry to inform the employer are afraid of a negative reaction from management and colleagues: “At the slightest mistake, they will say that I spend a lot of time on a part-time job”; “They decide that I don’t have enough work and add responsibilities”— noted in the press service of the service.
The fact that they know about part-time work at their main job is most often said by respondents aged 35 to 44 (22%). Those who hide this fact from the employer are more among citizens under 34 years old (9%).
Almost every third employer (32%) really does not approve of the situation when full-time employees work in other places on a part-time basis: according to their observations, sooner or later, excessive workload affects the quality of work. 44% of employers perceive this situation as neutral, and every seventh (14%) even welcomes a part-time job: “The main thing is that this does not interfere with the fulfillment of basic duties.”
