Money was found for the improvement of the tourist center of Feodosia
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The work will be carried out within the framework of the National Project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”.
Within the framework of the National Project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”, state support in the amount of 143.3 million rubles will be provided to Feodosia “to achieve the indicators of the state program of the Russian Federation “Tourism Development”. Sound vague? And so: “for the project for the development of public areas of the municipality.” Too little specifics? Okay, for the “development of the city’s tourist center” in 2024. The Feodosia Uyezd project has already passed the preliminary selection of the competition commission under the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea.
The comprehensive development of the tourist center of Feodosia will take place within walking distance of famous attractions along the tourist route, starting from the Stamboli Dacha and along the entire embankment, past the art gallery named after. I. Aivazovsky up to the monument to Afanasy Nikitin and the Dock Tower.
Feodosia is a city with a thousand-year history, which has preserved on its ancient streets many objects of display — witnesses of eras, museums, places of worship, pre-revolutionary buildings and dachas. It is important not to disturb this atmosphere of the historical urban environment, but at the same time carefully give new life to the tourist center,” noted the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Ganziy.
It is reported that this is the third, so-called tourist code of the city, after Evpatoria and Alupka, which will be implemented in the Republic of Crimea, and where a single architectural space will be created with pedestrian zones, landscaping, decorative architectural forms, lighting and video surveillance, photo zones, fountains, modern a tourist navigation system and infrastructure for people with limited mobility, subject to the obligatory condition of preserving the historical heritage, existing environment and landscape.
