More and more Crimean companies are joining the agreement to stabilize prices for socially important goods

Sergei Aksyonov expressed gratitude to the manufacturing companies and retail chains of the republic, which not only became parties to the agreement, but also strictly complied with its terms.

In turn, Anushavan Aghajanyan informed that the Veles trading company had joined the agreement. The company is one of the largest distribution networks that provides intermediary services in Crimea for the delivery of goods from the manufacturer to the counter. The total distribution network of this enterprise is about 1.2 thousand grocery stores.

At the same time, it is noted that not all business entities that have entered into an agreement on a maximum five percent markup on a social group of goods carry out proper control and monitoring of the price situation.

In this regard, it was decided to invite the Veles company to join the agreement. This will help speed up and strengthen the work in municipalities to deliver essential goods to the shelves at a price acceptable to citizensnotes the Minister of Industrial Policy.

Meanwhile, municipal administrations continue systematic work at the local level to include so-called convenience grocery stores in the agreement.

REFERENCE. The agreement, signed between the Government of the Republic of Crimea, producers and retail chains in March 2024, implies the stabilization of prices for 30 types of socially important food products and the prevention of their unreasonable increase in the future. Entities of the wholesale trade system have committed themselves not to exceed the trade margin by more than 5%.
