More federal highways will be built in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Tavrida highway in Crimea will have “sisters” — expressways connecting the peninsula with the mainland through the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The first step has already been taken: the Simferopol — Dzhankoy and Simferopol — Armyansk roads are planned to be transferred to federal ownership by the end of the year for the implementation of the highway project through new regions to Rostov-on-Don.
Rosavtodor is preparing a feasibility study. It is expected that there will be a fairly large traffic flow on the roads, so the option of creating a four-lane highway is being studied. However, the source of funding has not yet been determined— said the Minister of Transport of Crimea Nikolai Lukashenko.
The project is not even on paper yet, but the intention itself is impressive. Especially if you take into account the “massive plans” for road junctions from Tavrida to the South Coast.
