“More relevant than ever”: Mikhail Razvozhaev congratulated teachers and students on the Day of Secondary Vocational Education

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A gala meeting dedicated to the Day of Secondary Vocational Education was held at the Sevastopol Center for Culture and Arts. The Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev congratulated teachers and students on the holiday:

Today, vocational education is more relevant than ever; the country needs it most. Our masters, specialists of the older generation are gradually leaving factories and enterprises, and today great hope is placed on you, the current students of secondary vocational education. Today, almost all blue-collar professions are in great demand. The labor balance that exists in the country today suggests that we have a labor shortage — enterprises are fighting for highly qualified specialists.

Mikhail Razvozhaev added that before the official meeting he visited the Sevastopol Trade and Economic College. As part of the national project “Education”, three workshops on competencies were created at the college: entrepreneurship, tourism and restaurant service. The classrooms are equipped with everything necessary for training professionals — laptops, interactive equipment, as well as restaurant equipment. The guys who study here are already demonstrating their knowledge and skills at large competitions — for example, at the All-Russian championship in professional skills “Professionals”.

Students study in modern conditions, on new equipment, according to updated programs. The same processes are taking place in our other educational institutions. Now, after the meeting of the State Council, which was chaired by President Vladimir Putin, there will be even more attention to vocational education. We are currently discussing new additional programs to update the infrastructure of educational institutionsnotes the head of the city.

Mikhail Razvozhaev addressed the teachers who teach the students, expressing gratitude to them for their work.

Besides, teachers are real mentors. And this year, as you know, has been declared the Year of the Teacher and Mentor. At the end of the year we will sum up the results, and I am sure that all the decisions that will be made to develop vocational education in our country will give you new motivation for work, and the guys a new incentive to be the best in their profession. Thank you for your work, and I bow to yousays Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The head of the city presented a certificate of honor from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation to the deputy director of the Sevastopol Trade and Economic College, Elena Kiseleva, for many years of conscientious work and significant services in the field of education.
