More than 1,200 people took part in the Youth Day Festival in Sevastopol

This year, Sevastopol was included for the first time in the list of regions where federal Youth Day festivals were held. The common theme of the events was unification – not only of youth, but of the entire society. The program was held at the city’s «Boiling Point» in several directions and brought together 1,270 participants at the site.

During the day, various auditoriums held blocks on federal topics, including «Together with the Motherland», «Together with Goodness», «Together with Knowledge» and others. At the same time, anyone could bring food, books or other things and put them in the Basket of Goodness, write a letter of support to the participants of the special military operation and get acquainted with the educational program «Voice of the Generation».

As part of the track “Together with Knowledge”, Sevastopol residents met with the lecturer of the Russian Society “Knowledge” Alexei Tikhonov and talked about the cultural code of Sevastopol, together with the head of the SKILL training center Yulia Tsyganok, they dived into the basics of social design, and using the example of the head of the “Business — Polygon +» discussed possible mistakes and important points in drawing up an application for a grant competition.

Our festival today has become a point of attraction not only for young people, but also for children and adults — and each participant was able to gain new knowledge and competencies, as well as feel part of a large community united by common interests. And the most important thing is that in this society everyone is equal and equally important, everyone can make their contribution and is ready to help others— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the Department of Youth Affairs of Sevastopol Marina Slonchenko.

In the first half of the day, participants interested in the media sphere were able to visit the Media Guest Room, where speakers included representatives of the Regional Management Center, STV and the Information Policy Department of Sevastopol, and learn the basics of building and promoting a personal brand, and working in the information space. There was also a meeting with the head of the press service of the Tavrida art cluster, Yana Koryaeva, who presented the most successful cases of media promotion.

On the tracks “Together with the Motherland” and “Together with Good” there was a lecture “Historical reconstruction as a way to combat the falsification of history and practical archeology” from representatives of the Grenadier society for the preservation of historical memory, a meeting with the head of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland in Sevastopol, Victoria Tupchanenko and participant of a special military operation by Vadim Maksimov within the framework of the All-Russian project “Dialogues with Heroes”, as well as a master class “For People about Dolphins”.

I was at the «Together with Knowledge» site. Our director of the City Development Institute, Alexey Tikhonov, motivated the kids — mostly schoolchildren — to enroll in our university, master creative professions and create. We learned about the main clusters under construction in our city: New Khersones, the Korsun center and, of course, the Opera and Ballet Theatersays activist Vadim Dyagin.

The most creative ones were able to show their abilities and see what others can do on the track “Together with creativity”, within the framework of which the Creative Workshop of Sevastopol State University held a series of master classes on face painting, poster painting and product painting. The participants also met with the young performer Sofia Voronina and talked about how to make the regional team successful and reach heights at the Student Spring festival.

During the day, participants could attend the “Together with a Career” track, organized jointly with student teams of Sevastopol, where they could have an interview with a company in the hospitality and IT industries or learn how to write a resume.

With the support of the Sevastopol First Movement, a family track was held, where parents and children discussed how to properly manage time and be successful in several areas of life, and also got acquainted with the Drone Battle project, which became the winner of the movement’s grant competition.

Also, a photo exhibition of the achievements of Sevastopol youth has opened on the site between the Palace of Children’s and Youthful Creativity and the Sevastopol Marine Aquarium Museum, which presents photos from the main events in the field of youth policy — the World Youth Festival 2024, the All-Russian campaign «To You, Beloved», grant projects. The exhibition will last until the end of July.

Let us recall that since 2023, by decision of the President of the Russian Federation, Youth Day is celebrated annually on the last Saturday of June, which makes it possible to make thematic events the most vibrant and large-scale. Federal festivals in partnership with Rosmolodezh are held in 38 regions, with more than 200 thousand young Russians taking part.
