More than 1,500 Sevastopol families receive payments for their third and subsequent children

In Sevastopol, a third child or subsequent children receive a monthly cash payment until the child reaches the age of three. The amount of the allowance is equal to the subsistence minimum on the date of application — currently it is 34 rubles. In Sevastopol, 1 18 families receive payments — funds are credited to 1 546 children. The Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population reminds about the procedure for applying for benefits.

The means test for this benefit is 2.5 living wages. Today it is 34 797 rubles. That is, a family of five should have an income no higher than 173 987 rubles. This is a regional measure of social support, so the main condition for its provision is permanent residence in Sevastopol, as well as for regional materiel. Another difference from other payments is that the allowance is assigned immediately for the entire period in the amount of the subsistence minimum, which was in effect on the date of application. At the same time, an annual extension is required: one year and two after the initial application , — says Evgenia Pytko, deputy head of the social security department of the relevant department.

The allowance is paid both for the third child and for all subsequent ones. If there are, for example, five children in a family, then parents receive monthly payments in the amount of the subsistence minimum for the third, fourth and fifth child.

Previously, a monthly payment for the third and subsequent children in Sevastopol was provided only if the age of the older children did not exceed 18 years, and in the case of their education on the budget — 23 years. In June, the current procedure was amended, and now families in which the eldest child has already reached the age of majority can apply for support.

The application process has also been simplified. Now, social security authorities request many information for the purpose of payment on their own as part of interdepartmental interaction. You can apply for benefits both through the social security authorities and the MFC departments, and through the portal of public services.

Recall that the monthly cash payment for the third or subsequent children is provided within the framework of the regional project «Financial support for families at the birth of children» of the national project «Demography».
