More than 1,500 Sevastopol families received a one-time payment at the birth of a child

CrimeaPRESS reports:

When a child is born, the family is entitled to a one-time allowance, which can be paid to one of the parents. In Sevastopol, since the beginning of the year, the payment has been issued for 1,896 children.

The lump sum birth allowance is a one-time support that the Social Fund provides to one of the parents. The allowance this year is 22,909 rubles. If both parents work, the family can choose to receive benefits through the mother’s or father’s employer. Please note that if one of the parents does not work, then the working one will receive a lump sum payment.

If both parents do not work, then to process the payment, you need to submit an application to the client service of the Social Fund or the MFC. The application is also accepted through the State Services portal. The decision to assign benefits is made within 10 working days from the date of registration of the application and receipt of the necessary information by the FIS. The Sevastopol branch of the Social Fund transfers the funds within 5 working days after the decision on the purpose of the payment is made through a bank or postal organization.

The payment is due to all Russian families, regardless of income level, and is provided for each child. Guardians, adoptive parents or adoptive parents of a child can also receive funds.
