More than 10 billion rubles will be required to restore the reclamation network of irrigated lands in Crimea

To restore the reclamation network for 90 thousand hectares of irrigated land in Crimea, more than billion rubles will be required. This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea.

Crimean agrarians have already submitted 52 a package of application documentation in the amount of more than 1 billion rubles to receive state support to reimburse part of the costs of land reclamation in 2023 year. Employees of the Crimean Ministry of Agriculture, together with representatives of the State Committee for Water Management and Land Reclamation of the Republic of Crimea and the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Crimea of Krymmelivodkhoz, regularly hold meetings and meetings with Crimean farmers on state support for the restoration of on-farm reclamation networks, the acquisition of sprinkler equipment and the commissioning of new reclaimed lands. Meetings have already been held in Dzhankoysky, Krasnoperekopsky, Razdolnensky, Krasnogvardeisky, Sovetsky, Nizhnegorsky, Kirovsky and Saksky districts. Our main task is to increase the amount of reclaimed land with the help of the Dnieper water , — said the first deputy minister.

Alime Zaredinova specified that more than 90 thousand hectares of reclamation lands will be restored over the next three years. At the level of the Crimean government, it was decided that until the end of the year, Crimean farmers will be able to use water from the North Crimean Canal for free.

At present, 21 728 hectares of agricultural land is under irrigation in the Republic of Crimea, of which 8 2023 are irrigated with Dnieper water hectare.
