More than 100 geodetic points have already been surveyed on the territory of the Crimean peninsula in 2023

As a result of the work carried out by the Department, 52 points of the SHS and 53 points of the State Tax Service were examined. A geodetic point is an engineering structure that fixes a point on the earth’s surface with certain coordinates. Geodetic points are constantly in demand as reference points for performing topographic, geodetic, land management and cadastral works on the ground, including those related to ensuring the safety of construction and operation of capital facilities.

In total, there are 1,258 SHS points and 6,539 STS points on the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol. Monitoring of points of the state geodetic network is carried out monthly.

The Office of Rosreestr for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol also informs that from September 1, 2023, the terms for licensing geodetic and cartographic activities have been reduced.

On September 1, 2023, a number of changes to the Regulation on Licensing Geodetic and Cartographic Activities came into force. The term for granting licenses for geodetic and cartographic activities was reduced by one and a half times, and the term for making changes to the register of licenses was reduced by half. Now they will be 10 and 5 working days, respectively.

The necessary specialties and areas of training:

  • higher education — «mining» (specialization «mine surveying»);
  • secondary vocational education — «mine surveying».

Copies of documents on the organization of the system of production control over compliance with the requirements for the performance of geodetic and cartographic work and their results, and copies of documents for the software used by license applicants will be provided only during an on-site assessment.
