More than 100 people took part in the conference «Sevastopol: History and Ethnology»

The II interregional scientific and practical conference «Sevastopol: history and ethnology» is being held in the cultural and exhibition center of the Museum of the Heroic Defense and Liberation of Sevastopol. More than 25 speakers from different regions of Russia — leading scientists and experts of the country — presented their current works dedicated to the cultural heritage of Sevastopol, archaeological discoveries, the history of military clergy, the contribution of different peoples to the restoration of the city, threats to interethnic peace. In total, more than 100 people took part in the scientific and practical conference.

The conference is being held as part of the large-scale Festival of National Cultures «Sevetnofest-2024» at the cultural and exhibition center of the Museum of the Heroic Defense and Liberation of Sevastopol.

State Duma Deputy Dmitry Belik emphasized that people of all nationalities are now fighting on the fields of a special military operation for the future of Russia, for the future of all its cities.

On behalf of the Government of Sevastopol, the participants of the scientific and practical conference were welcomed by the First Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Policy, Maria Vechera.

She expressed confidence that the discussions at the conference would be fruitful and would make a significant contribution to the preservation and popularization of the rich historical heritage of Sevastopol.
