More than 120 people work at the Yuzhnye WWTP construction site in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev and the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Russia Irek Fayzullin held an offsite meeting at the construction site of the Yuzhnye WWTP. This facility is being implemented within the framework of the state program “Socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol,” which is supervised by the Russian Ministry of Construction. More than 120 people work at the construction site, 15 pieces of equipment are involved.
This week, the Yuzhnye WWTP project received a positive conclusion from a repeated state examination. This will allow us to continue construction of the facility at a high pace and purchase the necessary equipment,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The updated project provides for the construction of treatment facilities with a capacity of 130 thousand cubic meters per day (with the possibility of increasing to 160 thousand), a deep-water outlet in the Blue Bay area and a discharge collector from the WWTP site to the water’s edge. The project excludes the construction of the 2nd stage of sewage treatment facilities in Balaklava — wastewater from Balaklava will directly go through the new collector currently being designed for treatment at the Yuzhnye WWTP. Work at the site is structured in such a way that the Yuzhnye WWTP will be launched in stages. This means that the quality of wastewater treatment will begin to improve even before all work is completed.
Also, Mikhail Razvozhaev, together with Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, Irek Fayzullin and Deputy Minister of Defense Timur Ivanov, inspected the progress of construction of the historical and archaeological park “Chersonese Tauride”.
The scale of this object is enormous. Currently, construction is underway of an amphitheater, museums of Byzantium and Christianity, a museum of Antiquity, workshops, scientific, educational and youth centers. Work in the future Museum of Crimea is at the final stage — the interior decoration of the premises is already underway. All work is on schedule; the unique park is due for completion in 2024.notes the head of the city.
The park is being built on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin; it is a project of the Patriarchal Council for Culture, which is being implemented with the financial and organizational support of the My History Foundation for extra-budgetary sources. Currently, more than 1,000 construction workers continue to work at more than 70 park sites.
