More than 142,000 servicemen of the Southern Military District were revaccinated against COVID-19

Over 142 thousands of military personnel of the Southern Military District (SMD) were revaccinated against a new coronavirus infection. The category of revaccinated includes military personnel who received a full course of vaccination before August 1 2021 of the year.

At the moment, more than 270 thousand people have been vaccinated with two components of the Sputnik V preparation in the Southern Military District, of which more than 60 thousand — military personnel and members of their families, over 45 thousand — civilian personnel. In addition, the vaccination was given to students in military educational institutions and teaching staff, employees of organizations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Vaccination is carried out on the basis of the branches of the district military clinical hospital of the Southern Military District and medical units of the formations and military units of the district associations , the press service of the district reports.

It is clarified that before the introduction of the vaccine, medical service specialists inform patients about the effect of the Gam-COVID-Vak drug (Sputnik V) on the human body. Vaccination is carried out on a voluntary basis and after signing the consent to the introduction of the components of the drug. After the administration of the drug for half an hour, all persons are under the control of doctors.

More than 40 vaccination posts have been deployed on the territory of the military district and more than 60 vaccination teams have been formed, half of which are mobile.
